Sit back, relax, and stay awhile.

Hotel Hope, located in the small town of Hope, Idaho, is built on a steep hillside with the streets and buildings overlooking Lake Pend Oreille. The hotel itself sits on the second ledge up from the lake, with its rear side dug into the hill, so that only the second story is exposed in the back.

The hotel was constructed in 1897, by a man named Joseph M. Jeannot. It was a replacement to the original wooden structured Hotel Jeannot which had been created by his brother Louis, which burned to the ground in 1886. The hotel is now one of the oldest brick commercial buildings remaining in Bonner county. The hotel guest registry shows many prominent people had stayed at the hotel, such as J.P. Morgan, Teddy Roosevelt, Gary Cooper, and Bing Crosby.
