Hotel Hope is conveniently located close to a number of area's finest attractions and activities. There is a little bit of something here for everyone, no matter what your desires are. Hotel hope is truly located in paradise.
Directly across from the hotel, lies one of the nations finest treasures, beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. This lake is 43 miles long, and at some points 6 miles wide, with a depth of 1,158 feet. It is our nations 5th deepest lake. The lake offers 111 miles of shoreline. Lake Pend Oreille has many parks, boat launches, trails, and other attractions. Boat rentals, including sailboats, and charters for large groups are widely available. One such park, close by to Hotel Hope, is the Samowen Park, which was donated to the public by area pioneers Sam and Nina Owen. Samowen park offers clear water for swimming, several BBQ and picnic areas along the shore, boat ramp, docks, and hiking trails Lake Pend Oreille also offers some of the best fishing waters here in the United States. And thats just to name a few. Fishermen are sure to have a good day here at Lake Pend Oreille. For the wildlife enthusiast, the lake is home to many different wild animals, from mountain goats to more than 200 different species of birds and waterfowl. And if you still want more, the Kootenai National Wildlife Refugee, located 30 miles north of Sandpoint, offers a 2000+ acre habitat with an abundance of wildlife.
